Transportation

Departure is near Sambil Shopping Mall. You can go here on your own, or you can use the Hotel Pickup Service for free where you will be picked up from and brought back to your accommodation. You can pick up at one of the larger accommodations, see an overview in the booking form.

What to expect

This is the UTV tour of Curacao. This tour goes every day, 2x per day: in the morning (8:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and in the afternoon (1:00 PM to 5:00 PM). The check-in, explanation about the UTVs and getting ready for departure takes half an hour, and then off you go for a tough 3.5 hour tour!
After departure, you will first ride relaxed on the public road (asphalt) for 10 minutes to get out of town. And then it’s time for action! Near the airport you will enter the rough nature with the sandy paths full of potholes and stones; this area is also called the ‘mini desert of Curacao’. You will make a stop at an ancient cave and at the impressive natural wonders of Boka Patrick. The guide is not only there to accompany you on the ride, he will also tell you about the nature and history of Curacao.

From Boka Patrick on the north coast, take the public road to Daaibooi beach on the south coast. Here you can rinse off with a refreshing dip in the sea. After this stop of about 45 minutes you drive back to the starting point. You will pass Jan Kok, where you can probably spot the flamingos.
Note: You book per UTV (baby carriage), the UTV is only for your group. So you will not be in one UTV with strangers. For each UTV you book, you also bring a driver.

Voorwaarden voor deelname

  • Every passenger is 12 years or older and at least 1.35 meters tall. This includes passengers who will not be driving themselves.
  • Driver must be 21 years of age or older and possess valid driver’s license (show at check-in).
  • This tour is not suitable for persons with back or neck problems or other physical discomforts. Not permitted for pregnant women.
  • Before departure, each passenger must sign a waiver.

If a passenger does not meet all conditions, that passenger will be denied check-in without further discussion. This also voids the right to a refund of payments already made.

  • At least one participant who will ride.
  • Driver’s license of each participant who wants to drive himself.
  • Swimwear, towel (Tip: put on under your regular clothes beforehand at home).
  • Camera for cool photos and videos.
  • Optional: some money to buy a drink or snack at Daaibooi Beach.

Rijbewijs

For each UTV you book, you bring at least one driver. A driver must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license. The driver’s license must be presented at check-in; if you cannot show a license, you may not drive a UTV.

Kleding & schoenen

Expect your clothes to get dirty from this tour. If it has been dry it will be mostly dusty, if it has been raining the past few days then -literally- the mud may be flying around your ears. Put on clothes that may get dirty and may not get completely clean. If you are going to ride yourself, put on (old) shoes. Preferably sneakers because you will also be walking in a cave. Do not wear flip-flops or sandals, they are not comfortable for driving and walking.

Smeer je in

You have a roof on your UTV so you are not full in the sun, but you have no windows so throughout the tour you can get full sun on arms and legs. Grease up well!

Zwemkleding

Towards the end of the tour you will arrive at Daaibooi beach where you can take a refreshing dip in the sea to wash off the dust and mud. If necessary, put on your swimwear in advance (at home) under your normal clothes so you can easily take off your dirty clothes in the sea to rinse them clean and let them dry in the sun.
